Pool closing: winterizing and cover install
A pool closes well or it re-opens badly. Getting the water off the pump, out of the heater, and out of the plumbing is what stops a small winter job from turning into a large spring repair.

What’s included

Everything below is standard, not upsell. Anything outside this scope is quoted before it happens.
01
Winter chemistry
Alkalinity, pH, and stabilizer set for winter carryover. Algaecide and shock as required by test.

Line blow-out
Skimmer, main drain, and return lines cleared with a compressor and plugged. Freeze plugs seated.

Equipment drain-down
Pump, filter, heater, salt cell, and chlorinator drained. Drain plugs bagged and left at the pad, not lost until April.

Cover install
Solid cover or mesh safety cover fitted; springs, straps, and anchors tightened. Water bags or pillows placed where the cover calls for them.
05
Closing report
Photos of the sealed equipment and the covered pool sent after the visit. Anything that needs off-season repair is flagged in the report.
Good to know
- Closings are booked from late September through early November: first freeze forces the calendar, not the other way around.
- If your existing cover no longer fits or the anchors are pulled, replacement is quoted separately before we close.
